BRINY VALLEY (Briny spelled without an "e") is drawn and produced in Harrisburg, Illinois in Saline County near the Saline River, hence the name "Brinyvalley". Cartoons are drawn and provided by Lowell W. Patterson, retired forester, B.S. in Forest Management Purdue University'59 Cartooning began as a hobby and first appeared in the Crandon, Wisconsin Forest Republican Newspaper in 1968 as a comic strip titled " Pucker Brush Spoofs". The Brinyvalley cartoons first appeared in the Harrisburg, Illinois Daily Register in 1988 and later appeared in several newspapers from Tennessee to northern Wisconsin. Home town is Kingman, Indiana. Graduated from Kingman High School, Class of '50.
